HILL SAFETY 2
|
There are many other remote places in Scotland, with higher mountains and more spectacular views, but there is nowhere else where you can travel up steep-sided glens leading to high plateaux where you can walk all day and never meet another soul.
No other place where you can be so alone with your thoughts and at one with the buzzards, hawks, eagles and large herds of red deer.
These are the Angus hills … steeped in
history and little changed over the passing centuries. But a word of warning! If you venture out on these hills in winter (and often in summer) then be prepared and take advice from me.
